On February 3, 2023, the U.S. Department of Transportation released a progress report on the first year of the National Roadway Safety Strategy. The report outlines the Department’s comprehensive approach to its goal of significantly reducing serious injuries and deaths on our nation’s highways, roads, and streets.
As Allies in Action with this strategy, we wholeheartedly support adopting the Safe System Approach. This includes fully embracing the Zero Fatalities vision and joining other stakeholders in taking action to transform public opinion about and involvement in roadway safety.
